Help some plugins gui doesn't show

debian 12 sid
after upgrading to 8.6 some some pluguins gui doesn’t show up anymore
if I add a eq10q or calf filter and then double click the icon to show the gui nothing happens,
generic controls open as expected
same plugins working ok with carla standalone app
any hint ?

Ardour 8.4 Calf plugins [ERROR]: failed to instantiate LV2 GUI

Hi, After installing Ardour 8.4 all Calf plugins work but for some reason it fails to initiate GUI. Any idea why this happens? Thanks.

This plugin is unlikely to work in any future version for the same reason as other plugins with a GTK UI won’t. – It is also being removed from various GNU/Linux distributions with the next release (though it seems debian is going to package it without the custom GUI). See also:

Wow this is going to be a very recurrent question… I still encounter people that have no idea that JACK is no longer required or recommended so keep those links handy folks!
