SOLVED ERROR at start in 18.10

Hi all

Today new updates came to Ubuntu 18.10
after restarting the computer, Ardor 5.12 no longer starts

A poster warns:

WARNING: Your system has a limit for maximum amount of locked memory. This might cause Ardour to run out of memory before your system runs out of memory.

You can view the memory limit with ‘ulimit -l’, and it is normally controlled by /etc/security/limits.conf

Is it possible to solve it?
Ubuntu 18.10 is powered a systemd
I’m a bit lost
sorry my bad english

The memory limit is only a warning and not a fatal issue. Ardour will start regardless. There should be an actual error message after that.

A short in the dark: try uninstalling the csladspa package: sudo dpkg -P csladspa – That is a known Ubuntu issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/csound/+bug/1754944 ; see also

Thank you Robin

I looking in a partition of another computer
check for some reason the file

“/etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf”

had disappeared

copy and paste the file solved the problem
