Does anyone has already tried to use UA-1000 (or UA-101) with Ardour and with “Direct Monitoring” feature ?
Direct Monitoring can be adjusted on Windows with a specific “Control Panel”. It does not exist yet on Linux.
@NiLace any idea ? it seems that you have explored some features (patching ASLA driver)

Indeed I did.
Haven’t shared anything as I don’t consider it my code due to heavy usage of an AI assistant but I managed to control at least all the parameters the Windows XP allowed to control and the last time I invested time on it I was exploring the possibility of saving banks (didn’t succeed unless I used on of them to save user settings) and a GUI prototype.
Can’t speak properly about the quality of the code though. I believe I understand a decent portion of it and catched some errors here and there but I don’t have the experience or expertise to properly judge it.
When I get back to my computer I’ll set everything to properly share it with you.
