Write a text above midi notes

Hi all,
is there any way to write a text (letters, words, numbers) above midi notes in a midi track?
(Ardour 6.9.0, Ubuntu 22.04)

I have used timeline markers for similar functionality, but you might be interested in upgrading Ardour to the latest version. Ardour 7.2 introduced the possibility to import MIDI lyrics. You might be interested in this topic as well.
