I’m running into a problem on install. I get the following message:
Can’t write: C:\Program Files\Ardour6\share\ardour6\ArdourMono.ttf
I’m given the option to skip, but doing so results in not being able to open Ardour at all. What can I do to address this issue?

This happen when Ardour crashed of was force-quit. The custom font will remain registered until you reboot the system and cannot be removed or replaced when updating.
That is a is a different issue. A missing won’t won’t prevent Ardour from starting.
Maybe try cleaning out the preferences to start over:
Remove the folder %localappdata%\Ardour6\
