Windows VST with WINE

I have now installed yabridge. Yabridge recognizes the VST plugins in my WINE VST folder

/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files/VST2
/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files/VST2

But how do I tell Ardour 7.2 the plug-in paths now? I cannot select invisible paths in Ardour in the plugin setup.

The Yabridge folder is located here:
~/.local/share/yabridge/

Do I perhaps still need to put files from the yabridge directory into the Linux VST folders?

If you right-click on the file list in the file chooser you should get an option to show hidden files, which makes it possible to add “invisible” paths.

Thanks!

I also understand now that I do not need to specify the WINE path of the plugin. Yarbrige creates VST directories in the home directory, which must be specified in Ardour.

This could be so easily avoided especially for new Users by making ~/.vst a default path in Ardour, there is literally no reason to not do so, please add your voice to this bug report:
