I’m trying to find out where to save VST plugins for Ardour using WIndows. I noticed the plugin manager, but is there a special folder I need to save the plugins I download to get them to show up in the plugins manager?
The VST plugin specification does not come with any “special folder” component. You must tell the host where to find the plugins. In Ardour, you’ll find that in Edit > Preferences > Plugins > VST
