What version of Fluidsynth is used

I apologize because I could have sworn I have seen this mentioned before, but cannot seem to find it.
I have a couple of questions about Fluidsynth in Ardour.
-What version of Fluidsynth is used in the latest version of Ardour 8.7.0?
-Is there a way for user to easily check what version is used for future releases.
-How are versions of Fluidsynth handled with new releases of Ardour?
Meaning, do the newest versions of Ardour use the newest versions of Fluidsynth?

Also note that almost all development of recent fluid-synth is on their front end, not the synth engine.

Ahh okay thank you Robin, I thought I saw it on this forum.
That is a lot older than I was expecting, but I guess the newer changes might not be relevant to Ardour. Hmmmmm

Not sure if this terminology is in the same context so not sure if what I am saying makes sense, but Fluidsynth does not have a front-end that it provides ifself, do you mean what it is making available for creating a front-end with its API?
