What’s the level of difficulty of creating a new mixer knob slider for ardour, I love ardour but I don’t love the mixer knob slider, how difficult is it to have a normal looking one, is it possible to use images from a file to add or is it more complicated

Tastes are different :). I like minimalistic style of ardour knobs and sliders. I even prefer flat knobs mode…

We do not use pre-rendered images in Ardour’s GUI. This approach makes a GUI non-scalable between different screen resolutions. We do not use SVG images because of transparency and color theme issues. We have several strong reasons for continuing with our mixer “belt” design.

One could always use Mixbus, I suppose. :slight_smile:

i do have mixbus, the thing is, i will be creating a custom audio computer using ARM based Processors and i cant use mixbus on ARM cpus,
so i would have to use ardour but i wish the knobs were better but its not a big deal.
