Was there any plan of improvement to Theming and font preference?

I wish i know how to fork and edit , like this is actually hard work or no ? (i have tried to ditch out the hardcoded ArdourSans and install from source)

I just wish in future there is a config file (like LMMS style.css) that just change fonts (use the one from system)

I really just imagine this with JetbrainMono NF Bold and thought it would look 200% felt better to use (no hate to ArdourSans tho)

also i have idea for Color Palette tab , look at Radium Tracker i which i know what to edit instantly ,

I think that’s all for the ideas I have, but I guess it’s not the priority for now?

In the past Ardour uses the default desktop font, but this caused various layout issues; so since Ardour 6 there is a custom font (based on “Noto Sans”). This also allowed us to include special Ardour specific characters in the font.
