Using Fluid Synth in Ardour

Getting Stuff Done How do I .... ?

I’ve just tried using the Fluid Synth but couldn’t get any sound out even though the meters were registering volume.Now that there is no Midi and Audio template which one should I use for Fluid?
I am new to Ardour having come from Cakewalk.

And you did load a valid .sf2 file, didn’t you?

Oh. I thought you could load wav files?

Ok figured it out now.Just downloaded an .sf2 file and I have some great instruments.
Have to say I’m really enjoying Ardour at the moment.Seems like a great bit of software.
