i really want to sync ardour to mixxx the open source dj program i use. i need ardour to be the slave. i would love to be able to have ardour be synced to the midi that is sent from mixxx though midi though 0 (via jack) im using ubuntu studio.
the information i want to send is midi data from ardour to VCV rack (or using cardinal inside ardour) here i want to have midi chords, basslines and melodies sending pitch and velocity information.
Maybe I’m missing it but in their manual (Mixxx 2.3 User Manual — Mixxx User Manual
) don’t see any documentation of a MIDI clock or timecode source provided by mixxx that any external app or hardware could sync to.
What data does it send? Could you make a dump (either using Ardour’s MIDI Tracer, or gmidimonitor, aseqdump)?
