First time posting. I’ve been searching the forums and the bug tracker, and I’m having difficulty finding any information about the error I’m receiving when I attempt to open Renoise Redux from within Ardour. Something to do with Ardour not providing an “IRunLoop interface” (I believe it’s this).
Ardour does load a window with some VST options, but it’s not the actual Redux GUI. Any insight appreciated, and I can provide more info if needed. Thank you.
Version info:
Ardour 6.9.0~ds0
“After Bach”
(rev 6.9.0~ds0-1build1)
Intel 64-bit
Thanks for your fast and informative responses. I hadn’t realized I was running such an old version. I just downloaded 8.12.0 from ardour.org (I think I must have gotten it from a repo before) and tried again, but got the same error. Do I need to be trying a newer or nonstable build? (Apologies, not a developer.)
I will look into one of the older versions of Redux and report back. Thank you.
Yes, the fix is only in current development builds (available on nightly.ardour.org if you have a subscription, or if you build it yourself). We have not released an official version that contains the fix.
Wanted to check back in and update: I got it working using a VST2 version of Redux (version 1.3.5). Thanks @willy_dinglefinger and @x42 for that suggestion.
@paul When I get some time, I will try the nightly build so I can get the VST3 version running. (Just so happens I’d become an Ardour subscriber a few hours before I posted my question.) Thanks for your clarification on the fix and for all your work on the software.
