Ubuntu 10.04 by Wubi cant be converted to Dream Studio??

I tried to convert Ubuntu 10.04 by Wubi installer to Dream Studio. (I follow instructions from this post: http://ardour.org/node/4010)

After I download the file from: http://dream.dickmacinnis.com/dream-on/dream-studio-addon.zip, I extract and clicked on “Install Dream Studio” file. The terminal is open, the process starts and… the terminal screen is gone… thats all.

Does anybody know about this?

This is the Ardour forum, not the ask-random-questions-about-random-linux-distro so you should really ask this over at http://dream.dickmacinnis.com/forum/forum .

That said, try open a terminal, go to the unzipped directory and run

bash "Install Dream Studio"
At least you should be able to see any error that pops up.

saresu.bass: Just read the directions in the README included. If the terminal is closing abruptly, follow the advice peder is giving. The installer script (if working correctly) will download a package that installs Dream Studio’s repository on your Ubuntu system. Next, it will ask for your password in order to install said package. The repository package is then removed from your system. Now that I think about it: are you sure you’ve extracted the zip file and not just opened it with Archive Manager? This would cause a problem. If you’e done all that, the next step the installer does is to add your user to the proper groups for realtime and firewire operation. Next comes the software installation: your software lists are updated and all the software that comes with Dream Studio is installed. Finally, config files are copied into your home directory. Just log out, log in, and you’re set! Let me know how this works out for you.

Im really sorry for posted this thread in the wrong place, and you guys r helping me even though.
