I posted a topic about a problem I have on Ardour to play, record, … In fact, the click with m’y mouse on the “Transport Menu” buttons has no action.
When I click on th buttons :
MIDI Panic
Metronome
Rewind
Fast forward
Loop playback
Play range/selection
Play from playhead
Stop
Record-enable
No actions occurs ?!
But, the shorcut on keyboard are ok ! I can play, stop or record but not with m’y mouse, just with the keyboard ?!
It’s not a problem of ressource of PC, battery of thé mouse.
Surprise no ?
And when I click on other side, all are ok; I can go on the menu, différents view, etc …
What happen ?
I précise that I’m on windows 11 and the version of m’y Ardour payed 1$ is 8.11
Hi, exact, no différence if I Close and reopen Ardour but good idée to test thé transport icons in an other zone of screen I will test it. I dont thing that its this problem, but …
I’m not sure about Ardour but the transport controls are definitely screwed up in the latest nightly builds for Mixbus. In Mixbus ver 10, the transport controls now appear on the Mixer window as well as the Editor window, so that’s maybe got something to do with it.
Ardour also has a menu item called Window->Transport Controls which will display the transport controls in a detached window, so that might also be worth trying.
I’ve just started using MB10 and I’ve had the same issue a couple of times where the transport buttons just seem to stop working (this is on Linux though). I’ve only noticed on one machine with a troublesome nVidia card so far. It hasn’t happened on a different machine with AMD graphics in the Studio (yet at least).
Oh yes, thank you for this idea but it seem that it’s not a problem linked to the area where is displayed the transport controls buttom. No, in fact, I think that the problem is linked to the drivers of my interface USB Midi. Why ? because the midi interface doesn’t ok today (I don’t know why ?!) and the transport control buttom are ok. I can play and rec by my mouse. Interresting no ?!
And is your problem is resolved today ? did you use a midi interface ? It’s seem that my problem come from the midi or may be DAW drivers, I don’t know exactly
Ok, so some news … now, the transport controls buttom are ready. I don’t know what happed but sure, I had to restart my computer in first, may be the problem was resolved
I think that I really had to install Ardour on linux machine. I’m going to creat an new hard disk connected on USB-C to my computer and boot on it…
