When I create a new audio track, set the inputs and arm the track, the track meters do not show input levels. It’s only when I hit the main record button that track meters show input level. Not a show-stopper, but I do like to check the levels before recording for real instead of having to do a “fake record” that I undo to check the levels coming in on the track. Happening in 8.10, was also happening in 8.9. Was fine in 8.6.

The meter no longer shows input when transport is rolling (unless you explicitly request it).
Just trying to make sure I understand how it now works: Ardour no longer shows input unless the In button is pressed?
Is there a way to have Ardour show input while transport is rolling even when the In button is not active?
