Time Stretch Mode - Should region edge adjusts be added

I have not used the Time Stretch Mode a great deal (although I plan to in the future) so I apologize if I am overlooking something.

I have gotten back into testing Ardour and starting playing around with this mode and noticed something.
Depending on where you drag in the region, determines whether stretch (green range selection) performs from the regions beginning or its end.
Takes a second to understand how this performs visually and physically but it does make sense. It allows user to not have to focus in specifically to grab edges at each end to perform this action.
However, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to also allow for region edge detection, similar to how you can adjust the widths of regions currently.
Might require a new set of mouse cursors for this tool when hover over edges but maybe not, maybe can just use the existing mouse cursors used for this because the range selection color overlay that occurs might be enough of an indicator for user to know this mode is active?

Anyways, if this is agreed with, let me know if I should put in an official request for this.
Thank you to anyone who reads this

Wow! I just discovered that i can use the timestretch mode on the edges! That’s amazing and shocking. I use ardour for 4h+ almost every day for years and did not notice that this is possible. Extra symbols to show different behaviour on the edges would have helped definetly!
