Time signature note values name change

I’m trying to edit the meter for the time signature and it has the note values as crotchet, quaver etc. How can I change that to 1/4, 1/8. etc.

The note snap is set like that but not on the TS=. It does show 4/4 after you’ve selected crotchet. But I come from a back ground of knowing quarter notes and eighth notes and not the English note value names.

You appear to be using the little-known en_GB translation.

The source code itself uses the US terms, but if your locale indicates en_GB, you will see the UK names.

Preferences > Appearance > Translation > disable… and you’ll get US-English
