a few weeks ago I released an album - well an EP to be precise - all made on Linux + mastering was done in a professional mastering studio that is all FLOSS. Throughout all of five tracks I have used extensively Renoise and Ardour synced via jack transport - in Renoise most of beats and melodies were done while Ardour served for all vocal recording and editing of various out-of-sync recordings (for example the schlager in track 3 had to be “forced” into the grid to sync it to additional rhythmic and melodic material). Also last two tracks feature heavy use of autotune(*) in Ardour! Have a listen and enjoy and let me know if you are curious about any techniques employed.
