The Usb midi (in) works with my Roland TD11 set.
I just started up Jack in UStudio 14.04, opened up the alsa tab,
and there it was.
One a2jmidid later and the midi recorded from the midi out (the real one) was being replayed from Ardour.
Just thought I’d mention it…
My TD9 works as well and I sometimes use Ardour to record it when I’m practising. It’s good when you’re playing to a backing track so you can listen to the whole thing at once afterwards. I think that all I had to do was enable midi in my qjackctl settings and it instantly worked.
I should add that I am using an extremely cheap (~£8 I think) Midi -> USB interface that, against all odds, has worked flawlessly so far.
