switch-off: fade in/ fade out

Hello all,

since a couple of daysI am trying out ardour on osx 10.4 and this is my first post on this forum.

Is it possible to switch off the (64 sample length) fade out and fade in at the beginning/ end of each region?

right click on the fade, and from the menu that pops up, select “Deactivate”.

ardour makes heavy use of context menus accessed via a right click. be sure to check that out before cursing “how do i use this damn thing!”.

Is it possible to deactivate the automatic fade in/out entirely? Or do I have to deactivate every region start/end after importing?
