Swedish hiphop album made in Ardour2 and Ardour3

Together with two good friends, I’m a part of a Swedish hiphop group called “Raptimus Prime” (http://www.facebook.com/raptimusprime), where I produce/do all the tech stuff etc.

We very recently finished our first album ever together, consisting of 13 tracks purely made in Ardour (both 2 and 3), from first recording to final master. Some of the other software/plugins used includes:

Calf plugins
Salamander Piano
TAL NoiseMaker
linuxDSP plugins

If you’re interested, you can find the album at a couple of different places:
Bandcamp: http://raptimusprime.bandcamp.com/
Soundcloud: http://www.soundcloud.com/raptimusprime

PirateBay in various formats:
FLAC: http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8451980
OGG: http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8451976
MP3: http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8451978

And you can also find it on Spotify, if anyone uses that!

I’m very very happy and grateful that this was all possible using open source, and I thank all the developers, and all of the members of the wonderful Linux Audio community so much! Thank you!

Cheers!

That’s great stuff! I can’t understand it, of course but the rhythm, instrumentation and production are excellent!

Nice work zth!

I am currently just listening to the first few tracks but the sound is great IMHO and I like the way it’s distributed
It is not my kind of music but I still think it works great and I since I can understand the language I can enjoy it.

keep up the good work.

bmarkham1: Thank you very very much!
ahellquist: Tusen tack! Thanks for taking a listen and replying to this thread, even though it’s not your type of music! Greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Production sounds very solid. Nice work! I’ve listened to a fair bit of German hip hop in the past (despite not speaking German), and I really just enjoy the flow of syllables.
