Strip Silence with Ardour ?

Hi everybody.

I’m using Ardour + Xjadeo to make the soundtrack of a short movie.
So to do the mix, I have “bounced” some tracks, so I have many silence areas in those bounced tracks.
I know that in ProTools there is a plugin called “strip silence” wich remove silence areas in a track. To do that the user choose the threshold (for example -40dB), and then all the region of the tracks where the level is under that threshold is removed (in the session window).

I don’t know if it is possible to do that with Ardour. It would be great !!!

Hi,
Yes, in Sonar is similiar usable feature called “remove silence”.
