So I’m very much a rookie at this new software. I’ve attached a screen shot. On my top track I’ve changed the plugin to MDA Piano. It sounds like a piano when you play it but the track still says “OBOE”. Can anyone please help me on this? Please.
The flag that says Oboe is a MIDI program change (AKA patch change) command at the beginning of the region, MDA piano doesn’t care about that but you should be able to remove it, I just don’t have the time to look that up for you right now, sorry…

You say you’re a “rookie”, so just know that you can also change actual track names, for example here, by double-clicking it:
The “Oboe” (in blue/white) is associated with a midi region(s), and appears to be related to ‘patch-change’ stuff, yes, as @Schmitty2005 has pointed-out. (-Although I can’t 100% confirm this because I myself have very little experience with midi! 
)
