Step Entry free mode + extra

I’m running on an old 6.5 version, but can the step entry have a free mode where rather then adding a note via a designated length you can hold down on the midi keyboard and it will create the length of the note to how long you held it for.

  1. The piano roll doesn’t sound more then one note at a time when moving 2 or more notes.

  2. I can’t use the arrow keys to navigate left to right unless I’m in grab only mode.

  3. An option to mute a midi note.

  4. Is there a way I can see the notes of a separate region on a separate track to the background of the current track and region.

None of these features exists at this time. Feel free to file it in the bug/feature request tracker at tracker.ardour.org (sorry that it requires a separate login)
