Step entry channel

If my keyboard is outputting notes on channel 16 but step entry is set to channel 1, all the notes entered should be channel 1, right?

I haven’t confirmed but… was under the impression that the Ardour Step Entry can only handle one MIDI channel (selected on the panel of the virtual keyboard). So if your keyboard is set to Ch 16 and step entry is set to ch 1, I wouldn’t think you’d be getting any response from the Step Entry operation. Are you?
