Spotlight Kyd - "Etude for CP70" (Solo Piano)

This is a solo piano piece I developed while and for practising piano over the last year or so. It ended up being quite long (~6 min.) because I kept adding more parts to it until it felt at a place where it seemed to want to end

Yesterday I finally decided to record the piece in a very basic form, just recording the audio from my Yamaha CP70B into Ardour (with a few errors fixed by punching in short sections again afterwards) and adding a synth bass from the Mutable Instruments Ambika too.

So here is the track to download or listen directly on my Nextcloud:

Plugins used: DFZitaRev1, ElephantDSP RoomReverb, CChorus, ACE Compressor, x42 EQ, x42 limiter, ZamMultiXComp

Thanks for sharing, that was really nice. The CP70 has a lovely, unique sound, though it can have a certain dark menace to it as well

Thanks for listening. I frickin’ love my CP70! If I could make love to it, I would.

Nice piece, like a walk through a fantasy world that does not seem to find an end.
And yes the CP70B sounds wonderful, and the synth complements the sound on the the low range very well
