[solved] Zoom to last level

Is there a way to jump back to the last zoom level and position?

Here is my problem:
Ardour has no region editor (yet). The closest workflow I found to resemble this is grabbing a region and then hitting z, followed by e (using ctrl mouse modifier to draw). But there is no way to get back out into arrange mindset without reorientation, because hitting z again does not go back to the same zoom level/position but leaves me elsewhere.

Did I miss something?

Shift+Z does it if iā€™m not mistaken.
