[SOLVED] How are track output ports enumerated?

Hi!

Is this intended behaviour or problem infront of computer?

On a multichannel track with 4 outputs I have a 16 in to stereo mixer. In other words, a plugin with two outputs.
I set the slot to manual.
Output pins 1 & 2 are connected to plugin stereo out.
Output pins 3 & 4 receive bypassed channels.

Now I want to connect
1 & 2 to the master channel L & R
3 & 4 to a bus input L & R

So I open the track outputs,
But have to connect
1 & 3 to master L & R
2 & 4 to bus L & R

It took some time for me to figure this out. What is the correct way to spot this straight away?

You need to bypass the panner on your multi-channel track (right-click and tick on ‘Bypass’). Tracks with more than two channels get a VBAP panner by default, which you certainly don’t want in this case.
