Shortcuts Customisation wish

Regarding shortcuts i have a strong, burning desire:
When changing a shortcut, it tells that it’s already used by xx and to
first look that function up and delete it, before assigning the new one.
That’s a big loss of time, when you want to change a lot of them…

Would’nt it be smarter to just being asked:
“Hey, shortcut already used by xx, do you want to over write it” … and just pressing enter.

Also some shortcuts don’t work.
Is it a little bug, or a language problem?

Coming from 20years of Mac iḿ very curious in exploring Ardour.
