Session not loading due to error

Hi everyone, I’m still new to error and I had trouble opening a session of mind and I’m not sure what’s wrong with it and I would like to find out why, this is the error message that’s popping up:

Session “C:\Users\danuj\Documents\Midsummer’s Night Dream (snapshot Midsummer’s Night Dream)” did not load successfully:
Cannot initialize session/engine: Invalid or corrupt session state.

—ERROR: Could not set session state from XML
ERROR: Session: failed to load active playlists
ERROR: Session: cannot create Playlist from XML description.
ERROR: Playlist: cannot create region from XML
ERROR: Session: XMLNode describing a MidiRegion references an unknown source id =4918
ERROR: Session: cannot create Region from XML description. Can not load state for region 'Babylon 2-24.1'

Also note I changed the session file name to “One Midsummer Night’s Dream” so check that ardour session file, if anyone can help with this I’d really appreciate it :slight_smile:

These files in your interchange\Midsummer’s Night Dream\midifiles folder have been corrupt for some reason :

Babylon 2-10.mid
Babylon 2-11.mid
Babylon 2-12.mid
Babylon 2-13.mid
Babylon 2-23.mid
Babylon 2-24.mid
Babylon 2-25.mid
Babylon 2-5.mid
Babylon 2-9.mid
LABS 1-11.mid
LABS 1-12.mid
LABS 1-13.mid
LABS 1-26.mid
LABS 1-2.mid
LABS 1-3.mid
Take1_Drums-3.mid

If you remove them you should be able to load your session.

Also beware of using sync services for this purpose as they can mangle file names etc depending on file systems involved to break things.
