Seamless loop does not work

I’m trying to loop midi and audio regions without clicks at the loop points without success. I know there is an option in the preferences called “Seamless looping” but with this option enabled the loop plays only once and after one loop there is only silence. I have checked my audio files and there are no clicks in and they loop fine with other software. Can anybody confirm this? Is there a solution? Thanks!

what version of ardour are you using?

Ah sorry. Nightly build 4.6.14.dbg 64bit on Debian Jessie.

Seamless looping doesn’t guarantee the absence of clicks, but it avoids the guarantee of clicks which is the case for non-seamless. Any sudden transitions between material can lead to clicks, unless the software actively crossfades over a relatively long period of time. Ardour doesn’t do that.

Seamless looping certainly works here, but there are a number of factors that could affect it. My best suggestion right now is that you create a very small minimal session with this problem, then upload the entire session folder as an attachment to a bug report on http://tracker.ardour.org/

I have created an issue in the tracker: http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=6734
Thanks for your help!
