It’s just an curiosity but in safe mode only lv2/lua plugins are listed inside plugin selector. Is this wanted ? Why ?

VST2/VST3 plugins require loading them into memory in order to discover their properties. In safe mode, this is not allowed.
This is not the case for LV2 or AudioUnit (macOS) plugin formats, which provide information about the plugin in a separate file.
