I’m really new to Linux. I’m running ubuntu. When I run the download it loads a text editor.
How do I run the download file?

Right-click the file and choose “porperties”. Go to the “permissions” tab. Check “Allow execution” tick box. Then double click the file.
Or in a terminal execute the command “chmod +x (ardour_file_download)”.
Or check the email that you’ve received with the download link. That includes install instructions which can also be found at https://ardour.org/first_time_linux.html
