Hi there. I accidentally deleted a midi region and managed to recover it by finding the respective file in the sources. I checked the start time of the region (in the sources tab) and manually moved it right there after I inserted the file.
So the question is: is there a simpler procedure for that? e.g., recover the region straight from the sources since Ardour “knows” both the file and its initial place in the track?

Right click on the region, after dragging it from the source list. Go to the region name submenu, then down to Position > Move to Original Position

Considering non-destructive editing and stuff, maybe a “recover region” option by straight right-clicking the source name in the list would be useful for future versions.
