Recording on Cue Page

Getting Stuff Done How do I .... ?

Hi all,
I just started playing with Cues, but I can’t get a hold of that. Whnever I record some stuff with my guitar, all I can hear afterwards is a crappy, metallic and distorted sound at best - if not just static scatches.
This happens whether I use plugins or if I wire directly to the MAUDIO I use.
On the other hand, if I record from the edit or rec pages, everything sounds good.

What am I doing wrong? I’m running on Linux (Ubuntu Studio 24.04 LTS), using Jack / Pipewire and Ardour 9.8, self compiled from sources.

Are you recording in mono or stereo? If in stereo, try in mono.

You nailed it!
Since I have a stereo signal coming out of Carla, for the moment I workaround this by creating twomono channels, one connected tot he left out and one to the right.

This is a bug, only mono works in clip recording, hopefully will be fixed some day.
