I definitely have to try out this recording-in-a-loop thing at some time… 
(for guitar recordings at least. For vocal recordings we usually do a listen-back every 2-3 takes)
I’m drummer… record loop help me to save many takes… of course that then, I use 3 o 4 to select between.
