Record when jack-sync is on?

I can record via my soundcard when ardour is on internal sync; when I turn on jack-sync this no longer works.

What I’m trying to do is have Hydrogen running while recording (starting/stopping in Ardour does start/stop hydrogen when jack-sync is on) in Ardour.

What version of Ardour? This was broken in Ardour 3.5, but should be fixed in 3.5.14.
