Recoding midi track into another midi track

Hi,
maybe it’s a beginner question. I have a midi track containing several pieces recorded from an electronic drum. I need to make a unique track full length track with no gaps between the different parts. I thought I could connect a new midi track to the first one from the routing grid and record, but it didn’t worked. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, can anyone help me?

Hi

You can use the consolidate-range function for this. Select all the regions in the track, then right-click on one, Selected-Regions -> Range -> Set Range Selection. Then right click on the range again, and select ‘Consolidate Range’.
