Is it possible to restart jack for ardour without leaving ardour? A scenario: I’m working in ardour, for some reason jack dies, I restart jack and normally here I would close ardour and reopen it. Can I tell ardour that jack is now alive again without leaving my work and session?
Sure - in Menu->Window->Audio/MIDI Setup there is a button to disconnect from whatever backend in use. You can then switch backends, or tweak settings for the same one and reconnect.
