Question about installing Ardour on EMC2-Ubuntu10.04LTS system

I would like to set up a system that uses the EMC2-Ubuntu10.04LTS operating system installation.

EMC2 (http://www.linuxcnc.org/) is a program designed to run cnc machines. EMC2, like Ardour, needs the realtime kernel. EMC2 is packaged to only work on the OS that the developers custom design for it. Does anyone see any potential problems installing Ardour on the EMC2-Ubuntu10.04LTS distribution?

I don’t know, but to clear things up: Ardour does not need a realtime kernel, it’s just handy for some people.
