Problems with Melodyne in Ardour

I cannot seem able to get sound output from melodyne plugin after a piece of audio has been transfered. Playing back the region that has been transfered doesn’t generate any output, neither clicking on individual notes inside Melodyne window. Whenever I stop playback over affected region a little pop is heard. Deactivating the plugin makes the region sound normal. Standalone version of Melodyne works fine.

I am by no means a Melodyne expert, just trying to play around with it now so probably I’m missing something, but cannot figure out what that is.

Any help is appreciated!

What OS do you use, and what plugin-type (VST2/3, Audio Unit?)

Sorry Robin, thought I had included that info:

I’m using Windows 10 and VST3 plugin type.

I do have no first hand experience with this, but I know that it can work, even though Ardour does not yet support ARA.

Various MIxbus users do use Melodyne, so hopefully someone else here knows and can provide some insight.

Didn’t know until now what ARA is. You say “not yet supported”, so it’s gonna be but how soon

So now, 4 hours after I’ve been downloading and trying other DAWs, fighting the various nightmarish license systems they have, now Melodyne is working on Ardour. I don’t know why or how, maybe some of the continued installing and uninstalling of other software had to do something with it or maybe it just needed to be restarted x_D

Anyway, from what I already tried in pro tools regarding ARA integration, that would be very cool to have in Ardour :writing_hand:
