I just downloaded Ardour but it doesn’t work on my system. I uninstalled and went to cancel my subscription but I apparently I have no way of doing that. I paid as a guest with Paypal without making an account, and it said on Paypal to contact Ardour about cancelling the subscription, but when I come here, I am told to cancel it via a Paypal account. Please can you help me cancel the subscription, is it something you can do on your end?
I cannot access the Paypal guest account anymore, and when I made an account with the same details I used to authorise the payment, the payment didn’t show up on the account, nor did any way of cancelling it. All I have is a payment profile ID that was sent to me by email when I authorised it, which I can show you if needed.
I have tried that but as I said before, it does not show up in my paypal account because I used a guest account which I no longer have access to. There is no way for me to do it if the payment is not even showing up to cancel.
Subscription is a contract between you and paypal, so you have to cancel it there. Perhaps the following can help:
Then again I here (Europe) it is not possible to create a subscription with a guest account in the first place. Perhaps that is different depending on the county of residence. In any case contacting paypal support is likely the correct way forward.
Thanks Robin, that link was helpful. I apparently need to contact Paypal’s customer support to cancel it which seems pretty absurd but whatever. Thanks, I’m happy to close this now.
