Problem wit a +48 mic, lower tone

Hello guys,

Today something very strange happened to me. I was recording for a work with an M.-audio interface and Mic that need +48 volts. When recording, the sound in playback and recorded was about 2 semitones lower. This is the first time that this happens to me. I trasposed it and somehow it worked, though was not on the exact pitch. Intresting experience though, nice whole tone monophonic texture :stuck_out_tongue:

Does any one know what could be hapening?

Thanks!

Samplerate mismatch perhaps?

Maybe you’ve created the session asking for a sample-rate of 44.1kHz and the m-audio interface runs at 48kHz ?

Hello guys, an update. I’ve tried in both 48khz and 41 khz. The problem continues. It’s a condenser microphone. I’ve tried in several programs and the recorded audio is still 1/2 tone lower. I have a external interface and when sounding directo from the card the phones the sound is the same. But when entering to the Pc the sound is 1/2 lower. So I guess there is the problem.

Do you guys have any suggestions.
