Have been trying to install Ardour. After a couple of troublesum downloads, managed to get a file on my computer. Then I gt the message in my terminal:
Downloads$ bin/sh ./Ardour_64bit-4.2.0.run
bash: bin/sh: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
Any Ideas? Newbie.
Assuming you’re on Linux, you’ve missed out a ‘/’ - like http://ardour.org/first_time_linux.html says, it should be ‘/bin/sh …’ (rather than ‘bin/sh …’).
well… i did. still no change: got the same message.
Anybody around who’s using linux? Could the file be manipulated? Whats up with the whole checksumthing? Got no Reference.

Looking at the error message I guess you are German? Here is an advice for installing Ardour in German language: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/ardour

try and just type:
sh ./Ardour_64bit-4.2.0.run without the bin/ or /bin/ in front.
