I’d like to use my Launchpad Pro only for MIDI, and skip the extra DAW features when I connect via USB. Is there a way to prevent the control surface from automatically being enabled in Ardour? I would possibly settle for disabling the control surface every time I load a session except that seems to crash Ardour every time. Thanks for your help.
I tried that and Ardour crashes. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t save my preferences. I can file a bug report sometime.
What version of Ardour on what platform, and obtained from where?
Ardour 8.12 on Debian Linux does not crash when doing that here.
