I Know that Powermate support
has been removed.
Why?
And can I get help adding it back in myself.
I have it in the git source cloned on my PC. It was present in 3.12
I have that source.
adding it back in to 3.5.x
failed I would really Like to have it working again.

We do not plan to restore the functionality. It has not worked for a long time in the 3.x series and requires some notable changes to fit into the new coding design for control surface support. In addition, its original author has declaimed it, finding that it really wasn’t useful enough as a device to make the code worth maintaining.
