Plugin manager question

Hi,

for some reason i recently opened the plugin manager.

There are some plugins with status “error”.

I don’t care about the error status, cause there are so much plugins i can choose.

So, I thought I hide the “error-plugins” them.
But , none of the columns Ign/Fav/Hide is clickable.
Fav is choseable/clickable in plugin selector.

My question:
Can I hide a plugin somewhere ?
Are Ign/Fav/Hide only status indicators and not (what I would prefer) settings ?

By the way, I simply opened the plugin manger for having an overview of all plugins

Best regards

PS.: Ardour 8.12 on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS

Hello,

The Plugin Manager is kind of like an ‘under the hood’ view of all of the plugins that Ardour has found on your computer. So even if the Hide button would work for the plugins with an “Error” status (which it doesn’t because they’re already hidden by default in the Plugin Selector), it would NOT hide them from the Plugin Manager itself, → only the Plugin Selector (which is accessed in the mixer-strip for any track/bus when you double-click the black box area).

For the most part, during mixing/editing, this is where you should be searching for and adding new plugins:

Ardour (8,12) - Accessing the Plugin Selector

-With the Plugin Manager being the place for discovering new plugins, refreshing them, hiding valid (“OK” status) ones, etc…

I hope that helps.
