Playlist name - default to date?

I often add new playlists to my tracks, and name them by date, for example “Feb14_Take1”. It is quite tedious to manually enter these names while making inspiring recording takes. Is there some means in Ardour to tweak the default naming ‘Take.##’?

(Furthermore, I consider that playlists must be deletable)

You could probably do it with a lua script

There currently is not (short of changing the source-code), but it’s a good idea.

This might me a good excuse for starting to not avoid scripting :slight_smile:
