Is it possible to add the “knob-turning” of a plugin in the undo history? Often I want to play with the parameters of a plugin, but then I can’t go back to the exact previous config, which doesn’t encourage experimenting.
The undo history at this time only covers changes that affect the timeline. So … no. We do plan to add a separate “mixer” undo history, but doing this right is fairly complex.
I was missing the same feature working on a project. My workaround for “experimenting” was saving my settings to different presets and comparing them afterwards. It’s a bit clunky and you might end up with a ton of presets you don’t know if you’ll ever need, but maybe it helps.
